FA/22 Projects
Subcontractors for the Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor Program rely on Emprise for custom-designed, automated test stands for development, qualification and production testing.
- Torque Shaft Proof Load Test Stand for CWFS, Shelby NC—Automated test stand for torsional proof loading of various actuator shaft assemblies built by Curtiss-Wright for the F-22. Shaft applications include leading edge flap drive, side and main weapons bay doors. Project also included automated control and data acquisition using Lab View software.
- Gearbox Test Stand for CWFS, Shelby, NC—Automated test stand used to test main weapons bay door and side weapons bay door gearbox assemblies for the F-22. Lab View software is used for automated control and data acquisition.
- Vectored Thrust Engine Test Facility for Pratt & Whitney, West Palm Beach FL—Emprise designed the new A-8 sea level engine test complex for testing afterburning and vectored thrust military jet engines. The test stand was designed specifically for development of the P&W F119 engine used in the F-22.
- Asymmetric Brake Flap Actuator Qualification Test Stand for CWFS / Lockheed, Fairfield NJ—Turnkey delivery of a computer-controlled stepper-motor test bench. The A-Brake prevents asymmetrical flap deployment. The endurance test, performed at Emprise, consisted of 15,000 cycles. The complex duty cycle is controlled, recorded and displayed using Lab View Software.
- Air Separation Module Test Stand for Parker Hannifin, Forest OH—Turnkey delivery of a fully automatic portable Air Separation module (ASM) Test stand. The ASM is used on military aircraft to provide nitrogen enriched air (NEA) blankets to pressurize fuel tanks and decrease likelihood of spark ignitions. The test stand uses a Lab View data acquisition and control system to run qualification and post-production tests.
- Weapons Bay Door Strut Proof Load Test Stand for CWFS, Shelby NC—Automated test stand for tensile proof loading of bi-fold strut assemblies built by Curtiss-Wright for the Lockheed-Martin F-22 Advanced Tactical Fighter Aircraft. Project included automated control and data acquisition using Lab View software.
